The Heart of Healthy Design

Wolfdene recently had the pleasure of hosting Dianna Heggie (CEO of the Heart Foundation Victoria) and her team to discuss the Healthy By Design framework – A guide to planning environments for active living in Victoria.

We were staggered to learn that if weight gain increases at current levels, by 2025 almost 80% of adults will be overweight or obese.

With the average adult spending more than half of their day sitting down, the environments in which we live, work and play need to be conducive to make behavioural change easier for individuals.

Wolfdene’s urban design team are continually looking to expand their knowledge base as we strive to deliver neighbourhoods that increase the number of people who walk, run, cycle and use open spaces and infrastructure.
